Working Principle of Fire Damper:
1. Automatic Closure Mechanism: Fire dampers are integrated with fire detection and alarm systems to automatically initiate fire alarms and firefighting measures upon detecting a fire. The fusible metal piece melts at a specific temperature, triggering a rapid disengagement of the clutch and blade adjustment mechanism due to the action of a compressed spring and spring pin. The valve body, equipped with torsion springs, causes the blades to rotate and close, achieving the fire prevention effect.
2. Temperature Sensing: Fire dampers are equipped with flame-retardant materials that close automatically to block the spread of fire. At 280°C, the fire damper closes to prevent fire spread, and at 70°C, it closes to prevent smoke spread, ensuring effective fire and smoke control.
Function of Fire Damper:
1. Fire Containment: Fire dampers' primary function is to quickly close and block smoke flow during a fire, controlling the spread of fire effectively.
2. Smoke Exhaust Function: In the early stages of a fire, fire dampers can open smoke exhaust ports while closing the corresponding air supply system, controlling the fire spread.
3. Protecting Ventilation Systems:** Installed on supply and return air ducts of ventilation and air conditioning systems, fire dampers normally remain open but close automatically when the gas temperature reaches 70°C, isolating smoke and preventing fire spread.
Ruidong Group produces high-quality fire dampers:
**Frame & Blades: High-Quality Galvanized Steel with Fusible Sheets**
- **Frame and Blades Material:** Constructed from high-quality galvanized steel, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance.
- **Frame Thickness:** The galvanized sheet frame is 1.5mm thick, providing robust structural integrity.
- **Blade Thickness:** The blades are made of 1.2mm thick galvanized steel, maintaining strength while allowing for flexibility.
- **Blade Operation:** Blades are designed to normally remain open, facilitating regular airflow.
**Features and Specifications:**
**Frame and Disc Construction:** Both the frame and the disc are made from high-quality galvanized sheet metal, which offers superior protection against rust and wear.
**Opposed Aerofoil Blade Operation:** The damper employs an opposed aerofoil blade design, which enhances airflow efficiency and reduces noise.
**Operating Gear:** All operating gears are positioned outside the ducted airway, simplifying maintenance and ensuring that the internal airflow is not obstructed.
**Fusible Sheets:** Equipped with two types of fusible sheets that activate at different temperatures:
- **70°C Fusible Sheet:** Designed to close the damper in response to a rise in temperature, preventing the spread of smoke and fire.
- **280°C Fusible Sheet:** Intended to close the damper in case of a more severe fire, providing an additional layer of protection against extreme heat.
